Guten Tag, Gross Gött, Hello! Welcome to Monk Eurodate 2007!
In October 2007, the Monks traveled to Krems, Austria and Frankfurt, Germany for two reunion performances, and I was lucky enough to tag along. What follows here are photographs, videos and personal reflections of the rehearsals and shows, as well as ruminations of a first-time visitor to Europe.

The photographs in Krems were taken with both my Canon EOS Digital Rebel SLR and with a Sony Cybershot W-80 point and shoot camera. My Canon died in Krems, so most of the pictures from Frankfurt and all the pictures in Gelnhausen are shot with the Sony. It is a good little camera, but does not quite interpret images the way I always intended, especially low-light situations.
Also, please note I do not shoot with flash, and hand-hold my camera on low shutter speeds far more than I should, therefore I have many images that are slightly blurred which I still included for posterity, and for art's sake.
