Frankfurt, Germany
Located almost smack in the middle of Germany, Frankfurt is the third richest city in Europe. Also known as Bankfurt, or Mainhattan, Frankfurt is a very large city and is known for it's mixture of upscale banker and business types, art, and red light district. Apparently they have cleaned Frankfurt up some in the past several years, but we still saw our share of prostitutes junkies and bums. In fact, that's mostly what we saw in Frankfurt, because other than our walk through the red light district the night we arrived, the only full day we were there was filled by an interview, the soundcheck, a quick dinner, and the show (plus afterparty, of course). I do hear that the old town district is very pretty, and I really wanted to make it to the Rhine River area, where quite a few galleries and museums reside, but that will have to save for another trip. On the whole, I wasn't disappointed to miss a lot of Frankfurt, as large cities like that don't appeal to me much (other than the wealth of art)
